La-Z-Boy Contract Furniture is fully entrenched in the full meaning of being a "good steward" of this place we live and work called earth. The company is dedicated to sound environmental policies that help preserve the environment not only for those of us that live and enjoy this today but also for future generations. GREENGUARD Indoor Air Quality Certified All La-Z-Boy Contract Furniture Business and Healthcare products have achieved GREENGUARD Indoor Air Quality Certification® and GREENGUARD Children & Schools Certification. Both GREENGUARD Certifications signify that all our products are now in compliance with the stringent chemical emissions guidelines set by GREENGUARD Environmental Institute, and contribute to the creation of healthier indoor environments. Recycling All cardboard materials used in packing La-Z-Boy furniture are 100% recyclable and currently contain 33% recycled material. Foam padding used in the construction of La-Z-Boy seating products is 100% recyclable. Any unused foam is returned to the supplier to be recycled. We have fabric programs with the major industry fabric suppliers using recycled content. All our metal components are 100% recyclable material. Paper products used in our office and manufacturing facility are recycled. Air Quality La-Z-Boy Contract Furniture is a certified Title V company which means we are listed as a small quantity generator of VOC emissions which exceeds all government EPA standards for hazardous air pollutants. La-Z-Boy coating materials are cured using UV lamps rather than conventional ovens, saving energy and natural resources. Recent investments in dust-collection systems have improved air quality for our associates and lowered dust emissions in the air. Continuous Improvement La-Z-Boy Contract Furniture realizes that continuous improvement applies to all areas of our manufacturing, office, product, product design and use of that product. We understand the concern for the environment does not begin or end in our facilities.
